As a minimum level of service we commit to offer:

  • Full job specification provided in writing when CV is submitted for a role. Always provide a client requirement reference number to avoid the possibility of your CV being "dual submitted".
  • Be available to handle your enquiry in the evenings or weekend if it is difficult to talk during the day.
  • Feedback on all applications where your CV has been submitted for a position, even if a rejection.
  • If your contact at P.S. is away from the office, just ask for their Team Leader who will always be able to help.
  • Immediate escalation to Director level of any problem encountered during your assignment with P.S.
  • Comprehensive advice and support concerning contract terms & conditions including implications of IR35 on your assignment.
  • Prompt and early attention towards end of assignment to discuss possibility of contract renewal, or search for new position.

Contractor and Permanent Recruitment Services

P.S. offers its clients both permanent and contractor recruitment services, utilising over twenty years of our quality and efficiency improvements. We believe in providing the best service available in the market, investing in our own bespoke IT systems tailored to our client's service requirements, rather than trail behind with 'one size fits all' commodity business software.

After an initial site meeting and the receipt of a requirement for one or more resources, we will immediately activate our dynamic requirement management system called Tabular which ensures every position is tracked from initial receipt right through to successful placement. Our large recruitment team, dedicated full time to searching for candidates who are looking for new careers or assignments, will begin their resourcing and interviewing process.

We have an ongoing commitment to advertising on the premier web job sites ensuring our database is bristling with candidates with the most up to date skills, along with legacy technology.

P.S. has always operated an “open book” policy on rates and margins, one of the most controversial issues in the contract marketplace, ensuring a sense of goodwill and trust between all parties.

Candidate CVs are only ever presented after initial comprehensive telephone vetting (face to face at our own premises if required) and full written permission has been obtained from the candidate.

If not already known to us, all candidates placed are at least double reference checked - we also hold copies of passports/work permits to ensure everyone complies with the Asylum & Immigration Act. Any documentation required by the end user such as confidentiality agreements, non-disclosures, health & safety rules and so on can all be incorporated into our own documentation, ensuring absolute compliance right across the workforce.

Where candidates are hired permanently, we offer a comprehensive rebate scheme in the unlikely event of you parting company with any candidate placed by us in the first 3 months.

In addition to the above we are a contributor and subscriber to one of the most comprehensive quarterly contract rate and permanent salary surveys in the UK & Ireland ensuring that all our quotes and charges are always broadly in line with market conditions.

Finally, we also have an ongoing programme of technical and recruitment training provided to all staff ensuring that everyone is aware of ever changing technology and fully prepared in recruitment techniques and legislation.
