Press Release April 2008: PCG Joins Forces With HireScores.com

PCG Joins Forces with HireScores to Provide Members with an Insight into the Current Practice of Recruitment Agencies

April 23 2008:  The Professional Contractors Group (PCG), the non-profit professional body that represents the UK's freelancers, has teamed up with leading independent recruitment agency scoring website HireScores.com to launch AgencyWatch, an initiative aimed at encouraging best practice amongst recruitment agencies.

The joint project between HireScores and AgencyWatch, invites members to rate their experience of recruitment firms and give appropriate feedback to agencies on the HireScores website.  It will encourage them to share experiences so that all members benefit from a candid view of the best agencies to deal with.

The ratings system, created in conjunction with employers and recruitment agencies, produces aggregate results and rankings that are then displayed online so that clients and candidates can identify best practice at a click.

Commenting on the new service, John Brazier, managing director of PCG said:  "Many of our members rely on recruitment agencies to find their assignments and contract work so we are delighted to be launching AgencyWatch in conjunction with HireScores."

He continued, "PCG continuously strives to provide its members with support and advice that will help them to develop.  AgencyWatch should make it easier for them to identify the best and most reliable agencies out there."

Lisette Howlett, managing director and founder of HireScores.com said:  "The site isn't about naming and shaming. In fact, many of the recruitment firms we've spoken to are excited about letting their performance speak for itself.

"What HireScores.com does is give everyone involved in recruitment - job seekers, recruiters and employers - access to useful information and real experiences, in a simple and independent format.  It empowers employers and candidates to find the best recruitment firms for them - after all candidates want to find the right assignment, employers want the best talent and recruiters are the key matchmakers."
