Scottish Staffing Levels Fall Flat In July![]() While Scotland's economic recovery continued in July, Scottish employment levels remained flat, according to latest Bank of Scotland PMI report. The report shows that following five months of job creation, Scottish firms reported that staffing levels were unchanged during July. The index posted a reading 53.0 in July, up from 52.9 in June. The volume of new business received by private sector companies increased for a sixth consecutive month in July, albeit at a weaker pace.
