REC warns recruiters to be on their guard after bulk passport theft Industry body the Recruitment and Employment Confederation has warned its members to be on their guard when checking passports of jobseekers following the theft of a consignment from the Greater Manchester area last month. A total of 3,650 blank passports were stolen in the raid and the police have now released their numbers, which are always shown on page one of the document. The numbers are: 706922251 to 706922300 706919201 to 706922200 706922301 to 706922800 761258951 to 761259000 706922201 to 706922250 The REC is advising members to be extra vigilant when checking out the passports as either proof of identity or eligibility to work in the UK.
