'Fast fingers' improve job prospects

Plum Personnel has joined forces with Solihull College to offer a high-speed keyboarding course that improves job prospects as well as improving the skills of employees.

Susie Ankrett, Director of Plum Personnel said: “We have worked with Solihull College for a number of years. This latest e-Type initiative is a real way to help people improve their career and employment prospects. It also offers employers a training course of real value; it’s a real win-win opportunity for both employers and individuals alike.”

Studying for the course could not be easier. The courseware for the new e-Type course is available on a memory stick so learning can be undertaken at home or at work at a pace which suits the individual. Andrew Knight, the Course Tutor at Solihull College said: “This course delivers the skills that employers really need. After 10-hours of training an individual can expect to be using the keyboard more efficiently and after another few hours they can expect a further 25-30% increase in speed.”
