Comment left on 21/09/2009 15:19 New Homes Sales is a specialist recruitment market as construction and site knowledge is needed as well as sales negotiation and marketing skills. All sales negotiators should be evidence based assessed and attend regular industry training including the Law and how the Council for Mortgage Lenders impacts on their purchasers. They should have excellent communication skills and be ethical in their dealings at all times. They have to understand the diversity of homes in the UK including social housing and how the government legislates to meet specific needs, eg disabilities. They have to be well dressed and have confidence to represent their company in a knowledgeable yet approachable way. Most importantly they must be able to show how they would close a sale in a variety of situations. How they would overcome objections to proceed to purchase and especially how they deal with telephone enquiries. Preparation is key for interviews in this field. Research the companies / visit the sites and make your own assessment of whether you want to work for them. Be ready to illustrate how you have met and exceeded sales targets. Show how creative you are or have been in this market place / show your passion for New Homes sales and in my experience you will be a winner. |
