I applied for a vacancy that was stated with a specific location a few miles from my home. The salary range was generous and the description said " leading building contractor currently has an opening for a Project Manager to join their existing team in the SUSSEX area. This position has arisen to the award of a contract, a new build care home." I went to the location and there was no evidence of a potential site starting. When I questioned this I was told it was in Sussex and they didn't know where the address came from. I then questioned salary and was informed that they used the high salary range so that the vacancy would be included in the maximum amount of candidate searches. At my interview I was informed very early on that the only vacancy for Sussex would not be for at least FIVE MONTHS! So much for recent award of a contract! In fact, the advert became "expired" on the day before my interview. in the six weeks since my interview I have not had any feedback from either the employer or James Gray Associates.
