I am working for a company on a part-time basis and would like to eventually be hires as a full time employee.  Who would I ask to determine if I qualify to be hired at full time?  I was thinking of going to the human resouce department, but I don't want to appear "desperate" or "pushy".  Any suggestions?

If you are interested in eventually becoming a full time employee, I suggest you talk with your supervisor and discuss it with him/her.  In fact, you can ask him what are the qualifications are for becoming a full time employee and what you need to fulfill those requirements.  If your supervisor is happy with your work performance thus far, you should have a good chance of becoming a full time employee.
