Later today Murdoch and his son and Rebecca Brooks will appear before the UK's Parliament.
My question is this. Is this the beginning of the end of his empires influence?
Or to put it another way...why are people still buying the sun?

Well he will be DEAD by the end of the year.
Rebekah Brooks & John Coulson etc will go to JAIL
Mudoch should be in the DOCK and he will do well to keep his son out of jail.
and the politicians will all get away with it again despite this being the biggest political scandel for 75 years.

I'm just watching them as I type.
Rupert Murdoch seemed like he knew virtually nothing or was lying.
The son seemed very angry to be there.
I haven't got to Rebecca Brooks yet.
I'm some geek watching all of this stuff unedited.

Cameron said he would apologise if Coulson lied to him when he was hired.
Never mind "apologise" Cameron, you should bloody well RESIGN!
Too much toadying up to the press for their own selfish reasons means nothing will come of this, a few suspended sentences and the odd fine.

I agree with Jasper here wholeheartedly. We know Cam was warned against hiring Coulson but did it anyway. A few days after he resigned for the phone hacking originally? Why did he resign if he'd done nothing wrong? And whether he did or not he resigned...I wouldn't have touched him with a bargepole.

And it gets worse! The NoTW hacked a phone they gave Sara Payne!
Criminal charges must be brought now!
Rebekah Brooks should rot in JAIL and Murdoch knew about it all, why esle did he shut down the NoTW so quickly?

After reading peoples comments here and thinking about this I think Murdoch probably didn't know what was going on. He owns so many companies. Brooks though is different. n
