Do people nowadays tend to do all of their job hunting online?

The job points they have in the job centres are basically all online so there's really no point turning up early - as they ask you to do - to look at the job points.

Do you find the same thing in the job centres or are you not signing on at the mo?

Ha. I wouldn't be surprised if they make them not nice though most people don't choose to have to go there so i doubt its true.

I sign on at the mo and they seem very keen on the whole customer service thing so i'm sure there's no secret motive to make them not very nice places. Jobcentres that is.

I'm there often these days and they really try to push the whole customer service thing. Customers are now "clients". Very professional even if they do often assume you're lying to them.

In the past I've felt that the people that work in Job Centres sort of assume that you're out for what you can get and are not genuinely looking for work.
A bit like how the media seem to assume politicians are lying to them.

Ahh I understand now thanks.
I guess there probably a fair few scroungers who claim the dole but who aren@t really looking for a job though?

They shouldn't treat everybody as though they're scrounging though. Especially in this economic climate.
