I know what you mean. The other month I saw an advert for a film that was coming out that I wanted to see and then what seemed like a couple of weeks later it was in the DVD shop. Maybe it just didn't do well at its opening, but even the good ones seem to come out on dvd so quickly. Maybe it's because of a drop in the amount of people going to the cinemas or something.

Yeh perhaps. Also maybe DVD sales are actually projected and included in the process of making a movie. Of course this must be the case but most people don't think about that. Plus TV channels like Sky Box Office or whatever. They must have to pay a wedge to the studios.

I think TV viewing costs would be included in the overall profitability of a movie. DVD sales too.

Obama said recently on the NBC special from inside the White House that this was his favourite show. That's an endorsement.
