What those recruitment agencies should start to realise is that when they advertise non existent jobs  and do all their other unethical tricks to collect CVs etc etc
is that when those looking for work eventually find it, more often than not BY THEIR OWN EFFORTS,  do the agencies really think that these people will then choose to do business with the Recruitment Agencies that were so unhelpful and indifferent to them when they were out of work.

No Chance!  What comes around goes around.

It is against the agency regulations to advertise for non existent jobs.  Breaching the regs is pretty serious stuff  Shocked

I found out today that there is a regulating body called the REC which is apparently inundated with complaints from job hunters!

Until the Job boards tighten up and the REC actively punish rogue agencies this will continue.

They are like a load of crows fighting over a roadkill when they have a genuine vacancy!

That's true, we put a couple of vacancies out there and the phones light up with ither agencies trying to get in on the deal.  It's a competative market.

Not only that but different agencies advertise the SAME "vacancy"  for a while before someone Else picks it up.

Some "vacancies" have been current for two months via up to four or five different agencies.
