Six in 10 UK workers think they are working too many hours, according to a poll by Monster.co.uk.

The poll also shows nearly two-thirds of UK workers work over 40 hour weeks, with 34% working more than 50 hours each week. Almost a quarter (22%) of workers stated that they were happy to work overtime to further their careers, but only 18% works a 35 hour week or less.

Last week there was a discussion about Europe and what good Brussels has brought us. I'm assuming these people have opted out of the (sorry I forget what it's called) working week law thing? That's not the technical term of course. I think it's illegal to work more than a certain amount of hours unless you opt out. Does anybody know what I'm rambling on about here?

It says here we have the right not to work more than 48 hours a week?

That seems high to me personally.
