Jobseekers seeking recruitment may like to take heed of a new poll that reveals the opinions of IT managers when it comes to appropriate interview attire.

The survey, conducted by Robert Half Technology, discovered that a formal business suit is the clothing that 35 per cent of IT executives prefer to see candidates wearing at the interview stage.

A further 26 per cent said that they think khakis and a collared shirt is suitable dress for a job interview.

Katherine Spencer Lee, executive director of Robert Half Technology, commented: "If you're working with a recruiter or an HR (human resources) representative, he or she can advise you on how to dress appropriately."
