Hi,

I would like to ask about your opinion on the best recruitment sofwtware within a small budget.

I was thinking to keep using Evolve but they charge around 100 quid per licence and I feel like it is not good enough to pay that amount of money.

Thanks a lot!!

Nice forum!

Hi Steven

From what point of view - employer/in-house recruitment team or for a recruitment agency.

Most HR software has a recruitment application.

I do not know Evolve's price but imagine most SaaS systems are similarly priced.  One option we are currently investgating a back office system that you can run alongside your website.  This is bought so there is no user license fee but this sort of system does require a fair outlay up front.  To some extent therefore you need to decide if you want to take the cost up front and own the product or pay on an ongoing basis. The numbers will depend on how many users etc. SaaS will normally be automatically updated but any standalone system will also be sold with an upgrade option.

Here is a link to recruitment software suppliers if you want to check out some additional ones.

Hi guys,

thanks for the info.

The Recruitment software im looking for is for a small recruitment agency we are building up. The thing is that evolve is too expensive for us to mantain. Function wise it is great and we are looking for something similar with options to mailshot our candidates, contacts, etcetera and hopefully with a lower cost.

I am going to have an try next week of a new product to find out if it is any good for as as the price is better. I will let you guys know the outcome.

Regards,

Hi Steven,

Your quite right to query that price, its on the high side for a web based monthly user fee application. I have seen example at around half of that price so i would do a few more demonstrations before deciding.

I have seen some good examples out there and its a fast evolving (if you dont mind the pun) field but i would stick to outfits who have been around for a few years.

I use ApplicantExtra from Candid Software for my online recruitment database but i have seen other offerings that are ok but with less interaction with outlook. Think an irish firm who have something called Arithon crop up from time to time when talking to friends and chameleon too but i get mixed reviews.
There are so many out there that you need to narrow the field a bit, is CV parsing important, is integration with your website important, posting adverts on jobsites, access online, sms texting etc etc. Look for these online, shortlist and then get prices for all these features before wasting your time on demos. Then do demos on a smaller list before choosing. Make sure of contract lock ins, who owns your data and all that too.

Also try searching for online videos for the brand names, can save ages being talked at by salesman.

Good luck
