A recent poll on HireScores.com suggests that half of those that answered the question thought that personal contacts and networking was the best way to find a job - with recruitment agencies, job boards and newspaper ads trailing behind with 32%, 18% and 6% respectively. The challenge with sites like Linked-In is that the ‘introductions' are virtual. So, a few simple tips for job seeking through social networking sites and forums.
Networking online will obviously suit some job seekers more than others, and some industries for that matter, but it's one more weapon you can add to your arsenal.
